Cornelis Christian Dommershuizen (Dutch, 1842-1928) The Hook van Holland Entrance of the New Canal for Rotterdam Signed and dated "Chr. Dommershuizen 1891" l.l., titled in an inscription on the reverse. Oil on panel, 9 1/4 x 13 in. (23.4 x 33.0 cm), unframed. Condition: Surface grime, scattered retouch near corners. Retouch is scattered small areas, including the foreground l.r. and the ship c.l. There is scattered craquelure with alligatoring. The work needs cleaning.
