Attributed to Sir William Beechey (British, 1753-1839) Portrait of Lady Bathurst Unsigned, identified on a label affixed to the reverse. Oil on canvas, 30 1/4 x 25 1/4 in. (76.8 x 64.1 cm), framed. Condition: Lined, minor retouch, scattered losses, craquelure, surface grime. Dated inpainting beneath old varnish layer, largest area of inpainting is in the u.l. quadrant, approx. 1/2 x 1 in. Old varnish layer appears intact under blacklight. Minor paint loss, largest in u.r. quadrant, approx. 1/4 x 1/4 in.
