De Lacy, Henry (1251-1311), Earl of Lincoln and Constable of Chester, Document, [undated, circa 1280], one page, on vellum, granting the Village of Haburg to the Abbot of the Church of St. Marcial, Newhouse, with remission of rent, with medallion/seal, framed, 5 1/2 by 10 in. (minor smudging and creasing, else fine). Note: Henry de Lacy was a particular favorite of Edward I, court educated and was given the title Protector of the Realm whilst Edward was in armed conflict with the Scots.
