(Whaling Logs), Three manuscript logs for the bark "Governor Carver" of Westport, comprising logs for the years 1857-60, by unknown hand, 1863-67, written by Captain Macy, and 1867-69, written by Captain Jason W. Gifford, including approximately eighteen pages with whale stamps in total, three quarter calf, folio, (1857-60: extremity wear, soiling; 1863-67: partially disbound, some pages obliterated by use as scrapbook, edge chipping; 1867-69: partially disbound, dampstaining to end papers, non-log pages used later as notebook); together with a Gifford family scrapbook.
