Swedish, 19th century. A Gustavian style painted three drawer commode or chest of thick proportions with several layers of distressed paint comprising an oxbow facade with three with rocaille keyhole brasses and starburst patera backplates, flanked by barley twist turned side columns, raised on four bun feet. Approximate height 33.75", width 60", depth 26". Provenance: Property from the Private Collection of Helen Ballard, Atlanta, Georgia.
