19th century. An oversized sofa or settee with very tall back surmounted by a serpentine crest and tall steeply pitched curved arms over the rectangular seat, the arms, back, and seat all upholstered in conforming cream chenille upholstery in a chevron pattern of luxuriously soft texture, all raised a William and Mary style base comprising four block and baluster turned front legs all joined by two rows of ring and baluster turned stretches and four squared back legs.
