Early English Wooden Doll, late 18th / early 19th century, with inset blue glass lozenge eyes, dotted upper and lower lashes, brush-stroke eyebrows, closed mouth, painted cheeks, later brown mohair wig, turned torso with cloth upper arms, wooden lower arms with individually-carved "forked" fingers, tenon-jointed legs articulated at hips and knees, original brown leather shoes, later cotton underclothing and remains of old (but not original) silk clothing, ht. 15 in.
