American School, 19th Century Portrait Miniature of Daniel Hall. Unsigned, sitter identified in an inscription on the reverse of the frame. Watercolor on ivory, c. 1835, 2 1/4 x 1 3/4 in., in a period oval wood frame with brass liners. Condition: Crack u.r., pigment migration l.r., craquelure. Provenance: By family descent. Note: This gentleman with the name "Daniel Hall" inscribed on the reverse, is probably the husband and/or father of the four other sitters portrayed in this related group of portrait miniatures.
