English, late 18th century. A fine George III satinwood and marquetry inlaid single cube tea caddy, the top decorated with a central oval fan patera within a cross-banded border, the front and sides similarly decorated, the whole with satinwood and ebony stringing and the front with shaped bone inlaid escutcheon. The interior of the hinged lid having remnants of a painted name within a dotted white enamel oval border and opening to reveal a single compartment with lift off lid with turned bone finial. Approximate height 4.87", width 4.5", depth 4".
