Philadelphia Chippendale walnut tall case clock dated 1795 , the broken arch bonnet with carved rosettes and urn and flame finials enclosing works with painted face, inscribed (George) Miller Germantown , over a case with fluted quarter columns and ogee bracket feet, inscribed on saddleboard Geo Miller Fecit August 7 1795 , 99 1/4" h. This clock descended in the family of George Rittenhouse until it was purchased by John Tyler, a North Carolina collector, thence to Sumpter Priddy III and the present owner.
