English, 19th century. A rectangular inlaid mahogany tea caddy with the lid and front having large oval reserves with Royal Navy motifs of oak leaves and acorns above a naval cannon on its truck within a multiple banding of satinwood, ebony, and checker-board. The hinged lid opening to a foiled lined interior with two covered compartments with brass pulls, the case having a gold toned escutcheon. Approximate height 4.25", width 7", depth 4.87".
