Charles F. Quest (American, 1904-1993) Still Life with Vise, 1948, edition of 25. Signed and dated "Charles Quest 1948" in pencil l.r., numbered "21/25" in pencil l.l., annotation in right margin and on the reverse. Wood engraving on paper, image size 4 1/4 x 12 in. (10.6 x 30.4 cm), unmatted, unframed. Condition: Margins 1/2 inch or more with all but the right edge deckled, crease to right margin (parallel to edge over 1 1/4 inches outside of the image), subtle soiling or staining. Provenance: The sale of this work will benefit a university art museum.
