Charles Samuel Addams (American, 1912-1988) New York State Lottery Dated, dedicated and signed "1972 For Dorothy and Dan with remembrance of Pleasures & Kindness Chas Addams" along the top edge. Ink and watercolor with collage and whiting on paper, sight size 17 x 12 in. (43.2 x 30.5 cm), framed. Condition: Subtle toning, mat burn, rippling, light creases (predominately in margins), adhered to the back mat at corners. N.B. This image was featured on the cover of the New Yorker on June 17, 1972.
