Chinese, 19th century. Black lacquered eight panel coromandel screen with floral and undulating stem border surrounding central scene of figures on horseback and on foot hunting animals in mountainous terrain with rectangular panels at top and bottom of flower and cherry blossoms. Verso of screen with similar motif with soldiers or warriors in courtly architectural expanse within a bat motif border with landscape panels at top and floral decoration in panels at bottom. Each panel with bracketed feet at bottom and measures approximately 79.75" x 16". Provenance: Estate of Mr. Charles Edward Brodnax "Ned" Hansell, Mimosa Hall, Atlanta, Georgia.
