Frank Weston Benson (American, 1862-1951) The River, 1916, published edition of 104 (Paff, 90). Signed "FrankWBenson" in pencil l.l., numbered "46" in pencil l.r., identified on labels from Frederick Keppel & Co., Inc., New York, and Kleeman Galleries, New York, on the reverse. Etching on Shogun paper with watermark, plate size 9 7/8 x 7 7/8 in. (25.1 x 20.1 cm), framed. Condition: Margins 1 1/2 inches or more with deckled edges, annotations to lower margins and reverse, toning, unobtrusive rippling, subtle handling creases, several fox marks, brown paper tape to upper edge.
