Northwest Coast Wood and Metal Fighting Dagger, c. third quarter 19th century, the blade of European manufacture, the carved wood handle with fiber wrapping and pommel carved in the form of a bear's head (part now missing), with canvas sheath, the tip with wood plug, patina of use, old tag reads: "Alaskan Sword," lg. 18 in. Provenance: A New England library museum.
