Salvador Dali (Spanish, 1904-1989). "I Went Down Into the Garden of Nuts to See The Fruits", original etching from the "Song of Songs of Solomon" series, with color and gold dust on Arches paper with watermark. Pencil signed lower right, marked "EA" lower left indicating an artist's proof. Etching depicts a pear, leaf, other fruit, and figures standing before a mountainous landscape with Dali's characteristic perspective lines leading backward toward an angel set atop the mountains. Framed 30" x 23.25", imprint size 15.75" x 10".
