Woven Wool and Cotton Memorial Hall Biederwand Coverlet, possibly Philadelphia, 1876, one piece coverlet woven with red, brown, and two shades of green wool and white cotton yarns, with large central depiction of Philadelphia's Memorial Hall, bordered by eagles, leaves, and flowers, fringed on three sides, 82 x 78 in. Note: Memorial Hall was one of the chief buildings of the Centennial Exposition of 1876 and was dedicated by President Grant, memorializing the soldiers of the Revolution.
