Southern Plains Horse Hide Bow Case and Quiver, probably Comanche, c. mid-19th century, fringed at the strap ends and at the ends of both cases, with harness leather awl case decorated with white seed beads and containing a bone-handled awl, with unique wood and buffalo hide arrow extractor, original Osage orange wood bow with sinew string, written on the inside of strap end "Paint Creek Texas, March 7, 1868," dark patina of use, (old repairs), lg. 52, lg. of bow 47 in.
