Classical Mahogany Carved and Mahogany Veneer Mantel Clock, probably Connecticut, c. 1825, with an overpasted label reading "manufactured by Moses Barrett, Amherst, N.S. [Nova Scotia]," the carved English cresting joining square plinths above the glazed door enclosing a gilt and painted wooden dial and thirty hour wooden movement with mirror panel below, and lower tablet showing a landscape with classical building flanked by engaged columns with pineapple capitals, all on acanthus carved hairy paw feet, (minor imperfections), ht. 33 1/2 in, wd. 16 1/4 in.
