American School, 19th Century, View From West Point. Unsigned, titled below, but obscured by frame liner. Charcoal and pastel on sandpaper, 15 x 20 1/8 in., in a period mahogany veneer frame with gilt liner. Condition: Minor smudges lower edge obscured by liner. Note: On the reverse of the picture is another scene done in charcoal and pastel on sandpaper depicting the Connecticut River.
