Nathaniel Currier, publisher (American, 1813-1888) Clipper Ship "Dreadnought. " Off Sandy Hook February 23d 1854. Nineteen Days From Liverpool., 1854, (Conningham, 1143). Identified in inscriptions in the matrix. Large folio lithograph with hand-coloring on paper, sheet size 22 7/8 x 29 3/4 in., mounted in a contemporary molded bird's-eye maple frame with gilt liner. Condition: Margins of 2 3/4 in. or more, light toning, minor foxing, three tears on margins, one repaired tear l.r. Note: The paper backing on the reverse of the frame retains a paper label from "The Old Print Shop."
