Needlework Sampler, "Sarah Laycock's Sampler/Ended in the year of our Lord, 1787 and in the 13 year of her age," silk threads on a linen ground with rows of alphabet panels above a pious verse and another regarding the fleeting years of life, enclosed in a geometric floral vine, one verse stitched with two small hearts, (toning, fading), 13 x 11 3/4 in. , in a later molded wood frame.
