Baltimore appliquéd and embroidered album or bachelor's quilt, ca. 1839, made for John Glendy Stuart (1814-1895) , featuring twenty-five floral and geometric decorated blocks within red and white striped dividers and border, one square bears the signature of John Stuart's wife, Isabel Windsor, 99" x 97". Provenance: descended directly in the Stuart family to the present owner.
