Chinese Export Porcelain Teapot, c. 1780, drum-form teapot with gilded entwined lapped handle with leaf terminals and fruit- sprig finial on the cover, the sides decorated with cobalt blue and gilt spread-wing eagles with a shield and initials "NAE," their talons clasping a branch and a cluster of arrows, their heads against against a gilt-starred aura, each below an angel blowing a trumpet, cobalt blue starred dotted and twisted line borders, (minor rim chip, gilt wear), ht. 4 1/4 in. the finial painted with gold paint,, shallow 1/2 in rim chip, several small interior rim chips.
