Queen Anne Maple and Pine High Chest of Drawers, Massachusetts, 1740-60, the top section with molded cornice above a case of two thumbmolded short drawers and three graduated long drawers, set into lower section of three short drawers, all on cabriole legs with shaped knee returns, ending in pad feet on platforms, and joined by deeply valanced skirt, replaced brasses, refinished, (repairs), ht. 66 1/4, wd. 38, dp. 19 1/2 in. knee returns replaced, as are the turned drop pendants. Two replaced backboards on top section. patch to short drawer bottom in lower section, and back replaced on same drawer. Also a small patch in the base molding of the upper case at the lower left side.Generally good condition.
