Late Federal Mahogany Carved and Mahogany Veneer Astragal-end Work Table, probably New York, c. 1820-25, the top with two flanking hinged compartments, above a case of three cockbeaded drawers flanked by spiral-carved quarter-engaged columns continuing to turned drop pendants, on a vase and ring-turned spiral-carved support and acanthus leaf-carved paneled sabre legs ending in cast lion's paw feet on casters, glass and brass pulls appear to be original, (imperfections), ht. 30 3/4, wd. 24, dp. 14 in. cracking to veneer on top, considerable sun-bleaching to back, couple replacements and losses to half-round applied edge. Top drawer with damage to providers, probably missing a cover for a compartment.
