Lithograph with hand-coloring on paper, depicting a bird's-eye view of Oswego, New York, showing the mouth of the Oswego River at Lake Ontario, sight size 37 x 24 3/4 in., matted and mounted in a contemporary molded giltwood frame. Condition: Repaired tears into image and repaired abrasions, not examined out of frame. Two extensive repaired tears into image: one starting at the u.r. and angles and bifurcates left down through to center. Another starts at l.l. edge and angels rt. to center, three repaired abrasions or losses, two u.l. margin and one l.l. margin. *Examination out of frame: Paper applied to thin gauge card board backing, hinged at the top. Top margin: 3 in.; right margin: 3 15/16 in.; left margin: 4 1/4 in. or more; bottom margin from image edge to edge of paper 4 1/8 in.; approx. 9 repaired tears of various sizes to margins; possibly cleaned, margins very white, with white pigment evident.
