Paint-decorated Six-board Chest, Long Island, New York, late 18th century, the hinged top opens to an interior with till, and box on cutout bootjack ends, olive green and gray painted lattice surface, (restoration and repairs), ht. 27, wd. 45, dp. 20 in. cracks and staining in top, lock moved at least three times, lacks cover to till, where lock moved, front patched and repainted, other touchup to paint, patch to right hand upper corner of front.
