Carved and Painted Wooden Indian Whirligig, America, 19th century, flattened full figure with carved headdress, rotating arms joined by iron wire, vestiges of paint on jacket and headdress, black trousers and boots, mounted on a wooden wedge, (repair, losses), ht. 10 1/4 in. loss to feather on front of bonnet, paddles missing from arms, bonnet was detached and glued back onas well as the feet.
