Six Carved and Painted Miniature Water Fowl Decoys, Robert G. Kerr, Smiths Falls, Ontario, Canada, c. 1970, the figures with finely delineated feathers and details, inset glass eyes, including a black duck, a greenwing teal hen and drake, ruddy duck hen and drake, and a sleeping Canada goose, four are stamped with the maker's name, one inscribed with the maker's name, two signed and dated by the maker, ht. 1 3/4-2 7/8, lg. 3 3/4-8 in.; accompanying the figures is a soft-cover book Decoys at Shelburne Museum, by David S. Webster and William Kehoe, published by the Shelburne Museum, 1971, in which five figures by Robert Kerr are illustrated and discussed on p. 97. Note: According to the book mentioned above, Mr. Kerr had been a consistent winner at decoy exhibitions both in the United States and Canada and earned the title of Outstanding International Carver.
