Paint Decorated Pine Carpenter's Chest, possibly Ohio or Pennsylvania, first half 19th century, the hinged top with a chamfered raised panel opens to a paneled interior of doors and lidded compartments, painted in red, green, and mustard; the molded and dovetailed box, the front centering an eagle with shield holding a ribbon lettered with "Henry J Heiser," initialed "GKS," the sides decorated with partially draped American flags, (imperfections), ht. 27 1/2, wd. 43, dp. 24 in.
