Needlework Family Record Sampler, "Isabella Thompson Sampler April 1832," silk threads on a linen ground depicting five rows of alphabets, over signature stitches flanked by baskets of flowers above the stitched vital statistics of Robert Alexander Thompson (b. December 28, 1773), his wife Mary Wallace (b. August 19, 1782), who were married January 16, 1806, and their nine children; Isabella, born December 14, 1820, was twelve years old when she stitched this sampler, two pious verses are stitched below the register, the whole enclosed in a strawberry leafy vine border, (toning, fading, small hole l.r.), 16 1/4 x 16 1/4 in., unframed. all over toning, minor fading, small hole about 3/8 in. dia. at lower left.
