Paint and Stencil Decorated Six-board Chest, probably New England, early 19th century, the molded lift-top on a box with applied molding on front and cutout ends; grain painted with reddish brown color and gold stenciled borders with pineapples, lyres, fruit and birds centering the initials "C L O," (imperfections), ht. 18, wd. 28 3/4, dp. 13 1/4 Interior has been varnished; makeshift till; scratches and paint loss especially to top. Inset butt hinges, one original one most likely replaced but early replacement . Loss of lock hardware. One floor board replaced inside the chest
