Polychrome Transfer Decorated Pearlware Mug, England, early 19th century, large mug with applied handle, one side featuring several transfer motifs depicting figures and tools of the farming industry and the mottos "TRUST IN GOD," and "THE HUSBANDMAN'S DILIGENCE PROVIDES BREAD," the obverse with a verse relating to the life and fruits of a farmer, surrounded by a border of farming implements and produce, and banners reading "IN GOD IS ALL OUR TRUST," and "INDUSTRY PRODUCE WEALTH," ht. 3 7/8 in.
