Helen Means (American, 20th century). 'Young Girl with Rolling Horse", oil on canvas, signed lower right H. H. Means". Painting depicts a stoic young blonde girl with hair in ribboned pigtails and wearing a long striped green dress, standing with her arm around the neck of a rolling horse toy, with a small whip in her right hand and the reins in her left hand. The girl stands on a patterned tile floor with a red velvet upholstered stool at right. Inscribed on verso of stretcher "Soy Sanders, Auburn, Ala." and "Helen H. Means".Framed 54.5" x 40", unframed 48.25" x 34.25".
