Inlaid Mahogany Veneer Liquor Box, England or America, early 19th century, square case with hinged lid mounted with a brass swing handle, the front inlaid with a contrasting dark mahogany oval with brass scroll design, inlaid string borders, the green brocade-lined interior containing four compartments with four blown molded colorless glass bottles with gilt decoration on the shoulders and floriform stoppers, the lid fitted with a blown glass cordial, (minor veneer losses, two replaced stoppers), ht. 9, wd. 7 3/8, dp. 7 1/2 in.
