Small Grecian Mahogany Carved Sofa, Boston, Massachusetts, c. 1820-25, the rectangular back with flanking rolled arms, the facades of which are carved with anthemions and symmetrical arrangements of scrolls and acanthus leaves, on rectangular banded plinths and similarly carved legs joined to the rear carved legs by a straight frame with double-arch applied moldings, refinished with mellow patina, ht. 33 1/2, lg. 58, dp. 20 1/2 in.
