Federal Mahogany Inlaid Tall Case Clock, Massachusetts, c. 1800, the hood with pierced fretwork joining reeded plinths topped by brass ball finials, above a molded arched cornice and string-inlaid glazed tombstone door opening to an engraved brass dial showing moon phases with seconds hand and calendar aperture, and brass eight-day weight-driven movement flanked by freestanding reeded brass stop-fluted columns, the waist with molded string inlaid door flanked by reeded brass stop-fluted quarter columns, on similarly inlaid base and bracket feet, refinished, (repairs, imperfections, works not original to case), ht. 98 1/2 in.
