Portrait Miniature of a Young Man in a Brown Jacket, possibly B. F. Ladd, (ac. South Carolina, early 19th century), circa 1840, watercolor on ivory showing a bust-length oval portrait of the man facing right wearing a black cravat and a white shirt, 2 1/2 x 2 in., in an oval gilt copper pendant frame with a small compartment on the reverse with a lock of hair. Condition: Paint losses to hair and jacket.
