Portrait Miniature of Elisha Smith, attributed to William Lydston, Jr. (Boston, 1813-1881), circa 1840, the subject and artist identified in inscription on the interior backing paper, watercolor on ivory showing a bust-length oval portrait of the man facing right, wearing a patterned black vest, black jacket and cravat, 2 3/8 x 1 3/4 in., in an oval gilt brass pendant frame. Condition: Very good.
