Engraved Map Horn, America, 18th century, inscribed "A. n Beach horn/God finite monseer in his wiked crimes made Cn. Point Aug 1761" in crosshatched letters, with the British coat of arms with lion and unicorn, "Honi Suit Qui Maly Pense/ Dieu Et Mon Droit," the map depicts New York and various landmarks along the North and Mohawk Rivers to Fort Stanwix, and Forts on Lake George including Crown Point, Ticonderoga, and Fort George, buildings, trees, stag and dog, raised rings at the tip, pine plug attached with wooden pegs, lg. 16 1/2, wd. 3 1/4 in. at plug.
