Attributed to Augustus Rockwell (American, 1822-1882) Headed Back to Camp, possibly a View of the Adirondacks Unsigned, artist identified on the frame. Oil on canvas, 24 x 18 in. (61.0 x 45.7 cm), framed. Condition: Patch reinforcements, retouch, craquelure with lifting, surface grime. Provenance: A west coast collection. N.B. Working primarily in Buffalo, New York, Augustus Rockwell worked in the Hudson River School style. Rockwell's landscapes, painted primarily in the mid-19th Century, were marked by their use of color and light.
