Paul Jean Clays (Belgian, 1817-1900) Sailing Vessels at Dock Signed "P. J Clays" l.r., inscribed "...Amsterdam" on the reverse. Oil on panel, 22 1/2 x 17 1/4 in. (57.2 x 43.8 cm), in a period frame. Condition: Craquelure with alligatoring, surface grime. Craquelure with separating and alligatoring throughout areas of sky and the sails of the vessel (little in the boats and water). The work would benefit from a gentle cleaning.
