Three Mettlach One-half Litre Relief Steins, Germany, late 19th century, 24 with pewter lid, four panels representing the stages of man, lid inscribed and dated, overall ht. 9 7/8 in.; 783 (1510) with inlay lid, children at play, the central figures seated atop a beer barrel below a title "Bock Bier", overall ht. 7 7/8 in.; and 228 with inlay lid, four panels representing stages of man, overall ht. 8 1/2 in.; impressed and printed factory marks. Stein 24 with 3/8"chip along footrim; 783 with 1/2" footrim chip; 228 in very good condition throughout with no cracks, chips or restorations.
