William & Mary Giltwood and Velvet Upholstered Sofa, early 18th century, rectangular backrest and scrolled arms, on acanthus carved, scrolled feet joined by stretchers, lg. 78 in. Very heavy looses to surface of base with much wood and gesso showing through; repaired numerous times; three pieces to base off but present; good fairly rare and attractive sofa in need of restoration.
