Assembled Three Piece Black Basalt Commemorative Teaset, England, early 19th century, each molded in relief, covered teapot and covered sugar bowl each with a memorial to Wellington on one side and inscription "India Portugal & Spain Vittoria 21st June 1813" on the reverse, teapot ht. 5 in.; bowl ht. 4 3/4 in.; together with a cream jug with titled portrait of Wellington on one side and clasped hands and cornucopia above "La Belle Alliance" on the reverse, ht. 4 in. Teapot: handle with break and simple reglue; very slight chip to pot rim (under where cover sits); chip to a side of lion''s mouth on spout. All else in very good condition throughout with no cracks, chips or restorations.
