Two Brass Microscopes, the first No. 6407 by Ross , of lacquered brass, with rackwork coarse focusing, micrometer fine focusing on the pillar engraved 80 REV. = 1 , eyepiece, triple nosepiece-changer holding three engraved Leitz objectives (3, 7 and 1/12 oil immersion), square stage, rackwork-adjusted mechanical substage with condensor and iris diaphragm, tapering pillar trunnions, and U-foot, ht. closed 12 3/4, (lacquer overall good); the second engraved Merker & Ebeling, Wien. Hernalsen Gurlel 15 , with draw-tube coarse focusing, fine focusing by screw acting on sprung arm attaching tube to pillar, eyepiece, objective, plano/concave mirror, and U-foot, ht. 10 in., (lacquer removed). Neither tested.
