Columbia Type BC "Twentieth Century Premier" Graphophone, c. 1905, with Higham amplifying reproducer, 6-inch mandrel and massive triple-spring motor, in oak case with hinged front flap, wd. 19 in., (case refinished), associated brass witch's hat horn and floor stand, horn 57 x 23 in. dia. Note: The BC took the newly introduced 6-inch long cylinders, and played through a mechanically amplified reproducer with a 4-inch diaphragm connected to the stylus via a friction wheel.
