Two-Piece French Fashion Doll Orchid Taffeta Outfit, 1870s, fitted princess-line jacket with long sleeves and ruffled lace cuffs, and skirt with train and matching lace trim, decorated with green fabric ivy leaves, to fit approx. 12 to 15-inch doll, (fine overall condition). Provenance: This costume, which originally accompanied the fashion doll in the previous lot, dates from the same period and has the same distinctive floral decoration as her other costumes, although it is too small to fit her. It is being offered separately in this lot. Overall fresh condition, some light toning where fabric leaves are detaching. Costume has been stored flat for many years.
